Do our students have fixed mindsets or growth mindsets? How about you as a parent or staff member? Read this fascinating article. When a student talks about nothing but their grade, which mindset do they have?
As a counselor at the C.L.A.S.S. Leadership camp this summer, from day one were were asked to treat each child not as a future leader, but as a leader of TODAY. We were even asked to call them leaders, and to point out leadership qualities when we saw them. What happened was amazing, they rose to the expectation, and it was incredible. As teachers, we need to get each child to see their potential-now.
Interesting question . . .very important to student success!
